It was sometime during the third semester, in the middle of my jury, when I disappeared under the table. After a good amount of time, people started to wonder why I didn’t come back up, only to poke their heads realize that I had successfully fainted (clearly, my jury was not going swimmingly). Embarrassment and consciousness came soon after, hand in hand, as nearly 50 floating heads and hands helped me up. I was beaming with smiles that refused to quit. The remainder of my jury wasn’t so bad anymore! These few seconds at MITID were fittingly a microcosm of my 5 years here. First came the sadness that almost knocked me out, then just as I felt like there’s nothing better in the world, it was time to say goodbye.
